Is there strong racial prejudice in india against dark skinned south indians.?
I have an south indian email friend that is of very dark complexion. In order to understand her culture better I have,for about two weeks, been watch a cable station which only show indian films. To date i have not seen a black indian in any role. they are all fair, hence my question.
How can I ignore racial prejudice at work?
I am Caucasian, and work with both Caucasians and African Americans, and respect and like all equally. However some of the whites are openly prejudiced against the blacks, and this bothers me. I don't know how to respond to the " N" word comments. So far I have told these men they are ALL men who are doing this that I have black friends who are much nicer than some of my white friends of course, they didn't take it personally like I meant it . In this day and age, it's hard to believe people still have such backwards ideas. God created us all equally and loves us all equally, even those prejudiced against others for no reason. What are your thoughts? Should I stop trying to be friends with the prejudiced folks? I will not stop being friends with the blacks they are very nice and I admire and respect them all. They did nothing to deserve the attitude of the cavemen.Kazz, I said nothing about stopping being friends with the blacks, I said the PREJUDICED PEOPLE. Read it again, more slowly. Will I be a target of racial prejudice in Italy? (to italians)?
My father is Italian and my mother is African American, Im studying italian to learn it fluently so I can move to Italy and explore my heritage a little more. Im a light brown mocha type color and my hair isnt wavy like native Italians. With me knowing Italian does that help me out a little or make it worst. I dont want to piss anybody off. I have heard italians really dont like foreigners, and stuff. With my darker skin does that make me stand out and our you guys willing to talk to me and show me around. What about dating Italian women? Are they off limits in certain places or is it unacceptable for them to date me due to my skin or me being from the United States?

I can't take my dog to any Dog Day Cares, she's outlawed in many areas, and I get shocking looks when I say that I have her. But everyone that meets her LOVES her from day one.LOL I thought my Jayda was the only full grown dog who still thinks she's small enough for me to rock to sleep.
